Zipper stuck and won't zip up?

Rub some soap on the bottom part of the zipper that goes into the glide.  This should allow an easier insertion into the zipper so that the teeth line up and allows easier sliding of the zipper glide. Given to me by Renea T., West Bloomfield, MI

Another way to use hair conditioner

Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it in your hair.

Get Rid of Ants

An easy way to put on a pillow case.

My grandma taught me this little trick.  Turn your pillow case inside out.  Place your hands inside the pillow case placing your index fingers into the points of the case. Now grab your pillow with your index finger and thumb (while still in the case)and shake the case down off your arms.  This action is turning the pillow case right side out while sliding over the pillow.  Now grab the edges of the pillow case and finish "shaking" down the pillow into the case.

The many uses of newspaper!

 1. When storing sweaters and blankets, wrap them in a few sheets of newspaper and tape the corners.  It will help to keep both moths and dirt away.

2. Use it to deodorize luggage and containers by stuffing them with crumpled newspaper and sealing them closed for four days.

3. You can dry wet shoes by placing them on their sides and stuffing them with balled up newspaper and allowing it to absorb the moisture.

How do I keep my all my cord attachments straight?

Simply label them.  Take a label machine or just some tape and write what the cord goes to and whose it is.  Gather them all into a zip-lock bag.  Next time you need one of the cords, you won't have to guess if it is the one you are looking for.

Reducing Static Cling

Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and ... tahda! ... static is gone.
